WELCOME TO THE VENICE AREA GARDEN CLUB

The Venice Area Garden Club seeks to develop our members' knowledge of Florida gardening and participate in civic beautification, designing, planting and maintaining gardens throughout the community. We provide continuing education and resources for gardening, horticultural and floral design; and support the preservation of our fragile Florida environment.

PRIVATE TOUR FOR THE VENICE GARDEN CLUB

Remember our wonderful speaker, Melina Short, from the Sarasota Bay Watch Organization? Through the good efforts of Karen Schultheis, a tour has been arranged to visit this preserve.

Enjoy a guided walking tour to learn more about the area’s unique ecology—and yes, there will be plenty of good snacks to keep you fueled! Bring your kayak or use one of the 20 kayaks we’ll have on hand to help. This event will be an easy-paced walk, perfect for all comfort levels. With high temps expected, we’ll have plenty of shade, a fan, and cold refreshments available to help keep everyone cool.
